The 2024 Bay Area Walk4Hearing, a significant event in the heart of the Bay Area, is scheduled for Sunday, May 19, 2024. The event will be held at the picturesque Robert W. Crown Memorial State Beach at 8th Street & Otis Drive, Alameda, CA. The schedule for the day is as follows:

  • Registration begins at 9:00 a.m.
  • Stage Presentation starts at 10:30 a.m.
  • The Walk commences at 10:45 a.m.

The Walk Manager for the event is Ronnie Adler, who can be contacted at radler@hearingloss.org.

The Walk4Hearing initiative by the Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) is not just an event but a powerful movement. It has been the most significant event of its kind since 2006, serving as a community of support in action, breaking down barriers to hearing health and empowering people with hearing loss nationwide.

The event aims to raise awareness about the importance of hearing health as part of overall health and well-being. Untreated hearing loss is linked to an increased risk of dementia, falls, and even cardiovascular disease.

The Walk4Hearing events bring hope to people across the US, helping them discover that they are not alone in facing the challenges of hearing loss. These events also raise funds for local programs and promote hearing health. By participating in Walk4Hearing, individuals can help raise awareness and funds and support nearly 50 million people in the US with hearing loss.
