BART Accessibility Task Force

The BART Accessibility Task Force advises the BART Board of Directors and staff on ways to make BART safer and user-friendlier for people with disabilities and seniors. The 18 member Task Force represents the great variety of disabilities of persons using BART, including persons in wheelchairs, those who do not speak, and others who are blind or deaf or hard of hearing. All meetings are open to the public.

The BART Accessibility Task Force meets:

4th Thursday of the month
2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
1750 Broadway
Community Room, East Bay Paratransit Offices

Accommodations

  • Sign language interpreters at all meetings upon request
  • Captioning for the hearing impaired at all meetings
  • All the meetings are held in a fully accessible location, easily reached by BART or AC Transit bus.
  • Meeting materials are prepared electronically and in Braille for every meeting and are supplied upon request. Audio tape could also be supplied if requested.
